What’s Wilson’s Workshop?

All the items made in Wilson's Workshop are MADE IN TOULOUSE by hand by me, not in China or India or Morocco. (In fact, the workshop is just on the peripheries of Toulouse in a small suburb called Balma.) What I mean is that each item is carefully checked and made to my own high level of expectations regarding quality.

This all started with a passion for sewing believe it or not handed down from my grandma. Yet today the items on sale on this website are mainly leather accessories that I personally like or would have liked, but nobody was making them...

Man bags, tote bags, messenger bags, roll up bags, roll up shaving kits, glasses cases and belts, even if I started with saxophone straps.

The leathers are carefully chosen by myself from Italy, Spain and France, (Mazamet in particular!). I really try to choose only hides which appeal to my eye, that feel warm or possess some kind of personality. I refuse to use modern machines so I only work with a 1954 Pfaff 1245 which is the heart of my workshop.

The workshop will be growing in January to include wine and cheese tasting and belt making sessions in the new workshop. You'll be able to come and learn how to make your own items whilst enjoying a glass of the best French wines and cheeses..
